According to a magazine feature in *Bilsport Classic* (2013), the car was then an untouched original vehicle originating from the state of Indiana, where it had been garage-kept for over twenty years. During restoration, only minor rust was found — under the rear seat and in front of the rear wheel arches — making it a virtually rust-free car.
